Apply directly for India visas

Tourists still need to apply online

Applications for all categories of Indian visas, except tourist  visas, are accepted on a walk in basis without an online appointment date / e-token at all Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) run by the State Bank of India, subject to existing capacity of the centres, an Indian High Commission press release said yesterday.
The categories eligible for walk-in submission are Business (B), Medical    (M), Medical Attendant    (MX), Students    (S), Research (R), Journalists (J), Conference (C), Employment (E), Transit (TR) and Artists, Sportspersons, Spouses of Indian Nationals, Spouses of Business Persons, Private Sector ITEC Trainees, Family members of Persons attending Government of India Sponsored Training, Foreign Nationals (X). The walk-in system is applicable in IVACs at Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna and Dhaka (IVAC Gulshan, IVAC, Dhanmondi and IVAC Motijheel), an Indian High Commission press release said yesterday.

To avail of this facility, applicants are required to deposit their applications at the appropriate IVAC within 4 (four) days of the “Web Registration Date”, which is the date of completing the application form online. The 4 day period is the period during which the application form remains valid.  Thereafter, the form has to be filled up afresh. The e-token / appointment date system is still in force for Tourist (T) visa applications.
State Bank of India / IVACs have no agents / representatives in Bangladesh.
