Youth hacked to death

A young man was allegedly hacked to death by his relatives at Noapara village in Lohagara upazila of the district early yesterday..
The deceased was identified as Saddam Sheikh, 25, of the village. Police said a clash broke out between Tulu Sheikh and his cousin Haru Sheikh over catching of fish in a local beel in the area.
At one stage of the clash family members of Tuku Sheikh chopped Saddam, leaving him severely injured.
He was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries. Ten people of both families were injured in the incident. Officer-in-Charge of Lohagara police station Sheikh Lutfar Rahman said police arrested a man in this connection.
