Finance MinisterAMA Muhith yesterday said Bangladesh has achieved tremendous successes in all the indexes to attain the economic emancipation which is a role model for the world, reports UNB. "Our GDP growth is remarkably good and it'll be possible to reduce poverty by 2030," he said while addressing an international seminar titled 'Finance for Sustainable Growth and Development' at Chittagong University.
The CU Finance department organised the seminar marking its silver jubilee.
Muhith said illegal power grabbers and the anti-liberation forces have repeatedly created obstacles to the country's development.
He also emphasised on people's active participation in the country's sustainable growth and progress.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, Finance Secretary M Moslem Chowdhury and CU Business Administration Faculty Dean Prof Dr AFM Aowrangazeb also spoke at the programme presided over by Finance department Chairman Dr Shamim Uddin Khan.
