Three popular faces in Independence Day special tele-drama

On the occasion of Independence Day, National Film Award-winning actor-director Shahiduzzaman Selim has directed a special tele-drama titled Lokhkho Surjer Raat. In the tele-drama, Selim himself has acted alongside Ekhusy Award winning veteran artiste Dilara Zaman and popular actress Tareen.
Scripted by Iraj Ahmed, the tele-drama is scheduled to be aired today, following the 2pm news bulletin on Channel i.
DhakaLive has news that Dilara Zaman has portrayed the character of Shahiduzzaman Selims mother, while Tareen will be seen playing the character Shahiduzzaman Selims wife the tele-drama.
About the tele-drama, Shahiduzzaman Selim said, The story of the tele-drama is very nice. However, the main setback, we nowadays face is finding a suitable location to execute the plot of the production. Because of low budget, we are provided with, it has become very difficult to get proper costumes and location to illustrate the period of Liberation War accordingly. Still with the allocated budget and time, I have tried my best to produce this tele-drama wonderfully.
Dilara Zaman said, Shahiduzzaman Selim is an experienced director. Whatever the story is, he puts his talents into use and tries to make a good drama. I think this tele-drama has also been a good one and I hope the audience will like it.
Tareen said, Among the many directors I work with, Shahiduzzaman Selim is one of my favourite directors and no one can deny his contribution as a director. Talented directors like him are needed in our acting industry.
Apart from his involvement with Lokhkho Surjer Raat, Shahiduzzaman Selim is acting in a new drama serial titled Partnership opposite Rosy Selim. l
