Patiya Jamaat ameer arrested

Chittagong police yesterday arrested Patiya municipality Jamaat ameer from a local mosque in the area.
The arrested Jamaat ameer was identified as Mozaffar Ahmed (52).
Refayet Ullah, officer-in-charge of Patiya police station said that they had arrested nine Jammat men, including Patiya upazila ameer Mokibul Islam Chowdhury Faruque, from Paikpara area under the upazila in the district on August 28.  
“However, Mozaffar Ahmed who is accused with sabotage acts managed to evade arrest during the drive.
Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive and arrested the Jammat leader from a mosque,” said the OC.
