Bangladesh National Women Lawyers’ Association (BNWLA) on Thursday held a meeting at a school in the capital for prevention of child trafficking, says a press release.
The school-based programme was aimed at raising awareness among children so that they can play an important role in preventing child trafficking.
Himadri Shekhor Paul, principal of Agargaon Taltala Government Colony High School and Mohila College, attended as the chief guest at the programme on the school premises.
Chaired by Advocate Hasina Rashid, general secretary of BNWLA, school managing committee members, Shilpi Akter and Poly Akter, among others, spoke on the occasion.
About 500 male and female students of the school took part in two separate sessions of the programme.
BNWLA organised the programme as part of Prevention of Child Trafficking through Strengthening Community and Networking (PCTSCN) project.
