3 fake cops arrested

Dhaka Metropolitan Police in separate drives arrested three fake members of the community police from different parts of the country yesterday.
They arrestees were Jahangir Alam, MA Kuddus and Shohel Rana. MA Kuddus and Shohel Rana were nabbed from Islambagh while Jahangir Alam was arrested from Siddirganj in Narayanganj. Police also seized some police stamps, community police admission form, identity cards from their possessions.
DMP Deputy Police Commissioner Mofiz Uddin said during the primary interrogation they admitted that they took money in the name of giving jobs in Bangladesh police, pension and other facilities.
Claiming themselves as police, they were wearing police dress and identity cards. A case was filed in this connection.
