2 youths found dead in Savar

In separate incidents, police recovered two bodies of young men from separate places in Savar early Sunday. The deceased were identified as Badal Miah, 20, son of late Siddique Miah of Kaytara village in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district and Sharif Sarkar, 25, son of late Riazul Sarkar of Kaundia area of Savar.

Being informed by neighbours, police recovered the handing body of Badal Miah from a six-storey building at Savar Bazar bus station in the morning and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Two roommates of Badal went into hiding after the incident. He bore injury marks on his neck. The youth might be killed and later he was hanged with the ceiling fan, police and local said. On the other hand, police recovered a body of Sharif from his aunt's house in the morning and sent it to DMCH for autopsy.

 He was a drug addict, police said. Two separate cases were filed with the police stations in those connectionsm said Mohasinul Quader, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.

2 killed in Rangpur road accident

Two people were killed and seven others injured in a road accident at Islampur on Rangpur-Bogra highway on Sunday morning.

Identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Mozammel Haque, officer-in-charge of Mithapukur Police Station, said a Thakurgaon-bound Himel Paribahan bus from Dhaka hit a roadside tree in the area while giving side to a speedy truck coming from opposite direction around 6:30am, leaving two dead on the spot and seven others injured.

The injured were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

City road crash kills man

A man was killed and another injured in a road accident in Science Laboratory area in the capital early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Md Alamgir, 40, hailing from Nalchity upazila in Jhalokathi district.

The accident took place when a speedy private car hit a rickshaw in the area around 12:30am, leaving its passenger and puller injured critically, said sub-inspector Jasim Uddin of Dhanmondi Model Police Station.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared Alamgir dead.

Rickshaw puller Ruhul Amin is now undergoing treatment at the hospital, the police official added.
