Shipbuilding, recycling industries to be built in Barguna

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu yesterday said the government has a plan to set up a shipbuilding and recycling industry on 150 acres of land at Tetulbaria in Taltoli upazila close to Payra seaport, reports BSS.
We have a plan to set up a shipbuilding and recycling industry at Tetulbaria to fulfill the promise of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she was elected Member of Parliament from this area in 2001 and promised to work for the development of this area, said Amu while speaking at a meeting Barguna.
Speaking at the meeting shipping minister Shajahan Khan said the country is advancing fast under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who has been working ceaselessly for the development of the country. The two ministers the proposed sites of shipbuilding and ship recycling industries. Dhirendra Devnath Shambhu, MP, additional secretary of industries ministry Mizanur Rahman and Barisal Divisional commissioner Md Shahiduzzaman were with the two ministers.
