Chapainawabganj: A suspected robber was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Kalon Bil in Gomostapur upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Raihan, 24, son of Bakkar Ali, a resident of Birampur area in Chowdhala union.
Shahin Kamal, officer-in-charge of Gomostapur Police Station, said a gang of robbers committed robbery in Naodapara area adjacent to Boalia-Jambaria road on Thursday night.
Chasing the robbers, locals caught two of them at Kalon Bil area and gave them a good thrashing, leaving the duo injured.
Later, the injured were admitted to Gomostapur upazila health complex where Raihan succumbed to his injuries around 6am.
