8 honoured with ‘bbarta gold medals’

Bbarta24.net, a popular news portal of the country, honoured eight eminent personalities with gold medals on Tuesday in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their own fields.

The 3rd ‘bbarta gold medals award’ distribution ceremony was held at the National Museum in the capital on Tuesday afternoon, a press statement said.

Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament Fazle Rabbi Miah attended the programme as chief guest while former foreign minister Dipu Moni was as special guest.

The list of awardees includes Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Mustafa Jabbar (ICT), Abed Khan (Journalism), Abdul Quddus, MP, Natore-4 ( Liberation War), Barrister Tureen Afroz (Indomitable Woman), Mohammad Hossain, director General Power Cell (outstanding contributions in power sector), Jubo League Chairman Omar Faruque Chowdhury (Politics),  Nizam Chowdhury  (Economics), Dilara Zaman (Art and Culture). bbarta24.net honoured these 8 renowned personalities in eight categories this year.
