RANGPUR: The authorities concerned have been completed all necessary preparations to observe the International Women's Day -2018 amid huge enthusiasm through colourful programmes here today, officials said.
The day will be observed with a renewed pledge for enhancing women empowerment by ensuring equal emancipation in socioeconomic and political activities, governance and policy making matters ending gender disparity, repression and violence against them.
The district and upazila administrations, District Information Office, District Women Affairs Office, Department of Social Services, Shishu Academy, Mohila Parishad and other organisations have chalked out daylong programmes to observe the day.
