Man ‘kills’ elder brother

RAJSHAHI: A man killed his elder brother at Bhosana village under Mohonpur union of Godagari upazila of the district over land dispute on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The victim was identified as Abdur Rahim, 38, son of late Belayet Ali of the same village.

Quoting witnesses, officer-in-charge of Godagari Model Police Station Md Altaf Hossain, said two siblings -- Abdur Rahim and Abdul Karim -- had a longstanding land related dispute. As a sequel to the dispute, the duo got into an altercation during harvesting pulses around 7:30am. At one stage of altercation, Karim hit on Rahim's head with stick and Babul got dropped on the ground.
