A photo showing presence of a Royal Bengal Tiger at Malnichhara Tea Estate in Sylhet went viral on social networking site Facebook, reports UNB from Sylhet.
One Mohammad Mansun while sitting on a road side saw the tiger passing Malnichhara Tea Estate area on the Airport Road on Tuesday night and uploaded the image of the tiger on Facebook.
In the post it is also written that the tiger crossed the road and went inside the tea garden.
Manirul Islam, Division Forest Officer (DFO) of Sylhet said "We have got the information and already a team of forest department is working to catch the tiger."
The forest official launched 'camera tracking' to detect the position of the tiger, he said.
Recently, the forest official detected the pugmarks of tiger in the Malnichhara Tea Estate area. Besides, the local people were a little bit worried following the tiger's footprints and a corpse of a cow in the area.
