Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will hold a pre-budget meeting with four organisations today in an effort to take suggestions from those before finalising the national budget for FY19, reports BSS.
He will hold the meeting with the high-ups of four think tanks – Policy Research Institute (PRI), Economic Research Group (ERG), Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) – at 6:00 pm at the State Guest House, Padma, in the capital.
Earlier, beginning his pre-budget parley at a dialogue on 'National Budget 2018-2019: Expectations of the poor community and social safety net programmes' with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on January 30 last, Muhith indicated that the size of the next national budget will be within Tk 4,68,000 crore.
