The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 yesterday framed charges of crimes against humanity against 11 men from Mymensingh, reports BSS. “The three-member tribunal headed by Justice Md Shahinur Islam framed four charges against the accused and set April 12 for submitting the opening statement in the trial,” said prosecutor Rezia Sultana Chemon. The first tribunal passed the order as prosecutors Sahidur Rahman, Chemon pleaded to frame the charges, while advocates Abdus Shukur Khan and Abdus Sattar Palwan took part in the hearing for the accused.
Of the 11, five accused Md Khalilur Rahman, Md Shamsujjaman alias Abul Kalam, Md Abdullah, Md Rois Uddin Azadi alias Akkel Ali and Md Abdul Malek Akand alias Abul Hossain are in jail.
ICT investigation agency launched their probe against the accused on October 17, 2014, and concluded the job on February 16, 2017. They released their probe report on February 20, 2017.
