Rahul Anand to play unique role in �Hamiliner Bashiwala�

Suffice it to say, most people are familiar with the tale of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, where the melodious enchanting tune drove away all the rats from the city. Popular musician-singer-artist-actor and member of the young folk group Joler Gaan Rahul Anand, is all set to play a role similar to that in the tele-drama Hameliner Bashiwala, directed by Sajjad Sumon and penned by Ahmed Turki. DhakaLive has news that the shooting of this unique tele-drama will begin on September 5. Audience-admired actress Nipun will act opposite Rahul Anand in the tele-drama.
Director Sajjad Sumon said, I am directing a tele-drama with a fascinating story after a very long time. I selected the story of this tele-drama about three years ago. But I received the screenplay much later. I was supposed to get to work on it during last Eid but due to the intense work schedule, it got delayed. I am very excited about it.
The story of the tele-drama is about a young man who arrives in Dhaka city. He witnesses that there is a massive fight and commotion on the streets. He then starts playing his flute. After the tune is heard, the fight suddenly comes to a halt. Then gradually, the enchanting tune of the flute creates an impact among the criminals such as the kidnappers and pickpockets. Then it comes to a point where the unscrupulous members of the society such as quack doctors, corrupt businessmen all follow the melodious tune of the flute and in a trance they are taken far away. This flute player overall wants to cleanse the city of impurity and get rid of all the negativity that surrounds it and make it pure.
According to Rahul Anand, he described the role as his dream role and loved the story after reading the screenplay.
Hameliner Bashiwala will air on Channel i during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. l
