6 die in Comilla road accident

Six fish traders were killed and seven others injured as a truck overturned on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Dhonpur area of Sadar upazila early yesterday, reports UNB from Comilla. One of the deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam,  hailing from Gobindoganj upazila of Gaibandha district. Abdul Awal, officer-in-charge of Moinamoti highway police outpost, said the accident took place when the driver of the Dhaka-bound truck from Chittagong lost control over the steering  in the area, leaving six dead on the spot and seven injured. On information police recovered the bodies. Two with critical injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and others were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
