Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed to its Bangladesh counterpart to play a bi-lateral series at neutral venue in Dubai, says Naimur Rahman Durjoy, chairman of BCB cricket operation.
“Bangladesh have been proposed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to play a bi-lateral series in Dubai. But we, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will give alternative overture to Pakistan due to our hectic domestic schedule,” Rahman told media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Bangladesh have experience to host the ICC events successfully. They organised the 50-over and 20-over World Cup in 2011 ad 2014. Even the country hosted the two consecutive edition of Asia Cup in 2012 and 2014.
Durjoy said that they may be the host country for the next edition in place of Dubai.
“Bangladesh was the host of 20112 and 2014 Asia Cup. We have every possibility to host the next edition of Asia Cup,” Rahman said.
Since the last one year Bangladesh showed sparkling performance especially in one day cricket, where they whitewashed Pakistan and won series against India and South Africa.
