Ruling Awami League yesterday nominated 62 candidates for the elections to the chairman posts of 62 upazilas, municipalities and union parishads. The nominations were finalised at a meeting of Awami League Local Government Nomination Board held at Prime Minister's official residence Ganobhaban with PM Sheikh Hasina in the chair. Of the 62 local government institutions, two are upazilas and five are municipalities.
