Dhaka Metro TT from tomorrow

The Dhaka Metropolis Table Tennis League will kick-off February 28 at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the capital.

Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) will organise the league in three categories- Men’s senior division, women division and men’s first division league. Meghna Group will sponsor all the three events and it has provided Taka three lakh as sponsorship money although the BTTF has chalked out a budget of Tk five lakh for the championship. The BTTF is expected to  raise a fund of Taka one lakh as entry-fee from different participating teams. The BTTF will spend rest of the amount from its own fund.

Eleven teams to play in men’s senior division,  24 teams in men’s first division and nine teams in women’s league.

The BTTF officials stated that 25 foreign players will participate in two-tier men’s league and  eight foreign players to compete in women’s division.
