RAJSHAHI: A case has been filed against a female doctor of a private clinic for stitching patient's belly leaving bandage gauze inside it after her caesarean operation, reports UNB.
The accused doctor is Sultana Naznin Rita, doctor of ‘Ma Fatema Clinic’ in Goshpara area.
Victim patient's husband Ali Azam filed the case with Boalia Model Police Station on Sunday afternoon, said Aman Ullah, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Ali Azam said his wife Alapi Begum underwent cesarean operation at the clinic on December 23.
Later, she felt acute pain in her abdomen and went to the clinic again on January 20. The doctor gave her some painkillers.
As Aladi did not get relief from the pain, she went to Laxmipur Motherland Clinic where doctors, in an ultrasonography, detected three gauze bandages inside her belly.
Later, the gauze bandages were removed from the abdomen on Saturday.
