Saif Sporting Club is going to recruit an English coach for the next season when a British born Stewart Hall will join the team by April 15 as the team is all set to appoint him.
Engineer Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, managing director of the Saif Sporting, informed yesterday that they have already selected Stewart Hall to replace the previous head coach of Ireland, Ryan Northmore under whom Saif could manage fourth place in the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League but eliminated from the first round of the Walton Independence Cup.
Northmore, who enjoyed every freedom and also had the opportunity to run a month long conditioning camp outside the country (in Kolkata) when the team was formed with a number premier booters and a bunch of young booters, could not obtain the expected result.
So the club reflected soon and selected 59 years British coach Stewart Hall, who was the director of the Birmingham City F.C. Academy at the early stage of his career while his duties included coaching the Barclays Premier League reserve team and the clubs U-18 academy team. He had also experienced to manage the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines national football team.
Hall also had good experiences to manage team in the subcontinents when he was the head coach of Pune FC of India in the ISL for two seasons when Pune won the title.
Nasiruddin Chowdhury also informed that this time also will formed a strong side and they are looking forward for long time success.
Meanwhile, Saif surprised all at their first appearance in the top level competition with clinching the forth place in the league and also played in the AFC Cup play offs phase, though could not cross the first round hurdle.
