Man gets life for raping girl

Natore: A young man was sentenced for life term imprisonment yesterday as he raped a minor school girl at Banurvag village of Naldanga in the district in 2011, reports UNB.

Natore District and Sessions Judge Rezaul Karim handed down the verdict. The convict is identified as Monirul Islam.

According to the prosecution, Monirul picked up the victim while she was returning home from school and raped her on June 12 in 2011. Later, Monirul was later arrested after victim’s family filed a case in this regard.
