Trust Bank gets new MD

Faruq Mainuddin has joined Trust Bank Limited as managing director and CEO, the bank said in a press statement yesterday.

Following the decision of the board of directors of the bank, Bangladesh Bank formally approved the appointment. Prior to the appointment, he was serving in the same bank as additional managing director (AMD) of the bank.    

After completing honors and masters in Economics from Dhaka University, he started his career with AB Bank as probationary officer in 1984.

He also worked as DMD of Mercantile Bank. Prior to joining Trust Bank, Mainuddin was the AMD, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer of The City Bank, the statement added.
