Mahadeb Ghosh to perform today

Rabindra Sangeet exponent Mahadeb Ghosh will perform today at a musical soiree at 7pm at the Kanthashilon office in the capital’s New Elephant Road. Sumaiya Farah Khan will also perform at the programme. The duo will perform at the 48th meeting of ‘Khamkheyali Sabha’. Before the musical soiree, a discussion meeting will be held, where Dhaka University professor Narayan Chandra Biswas will be present as the main discussant. Member of Khamkheyali Sabha Iyatshingh Shubho will read out an essay on ‘Rabindranth-er Geetonatya, Kobitay Naree: Prosongo Mohabharat’. Mahadev Ghosh is enlisted as a special grade singer in Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar. He released two music albums so far named ‘Amar Hiyar Majhe’ and ‘Amar Praner Manush Ache Prane’. He was honoured with the award ‘Podokkhep Bangladesh’ in 2011. He established ‘Rabirashmi’– a Rabindra Sangeet organisation in 1998.
