President M Abdul Hamid yesterday asked members of the Public Service Commission (PSC) to ensure more accountability in their overall activities so that mass people can get confidence in the PSC as a statutory body, reports BSS. “Work properly to attain people's confidence in the PSC," the President told PSC members while a 13-member delegation handed over its Annual Report 2017 to him at Bangabhaban yesterday afternoon.
President Hamid advised the PSC members to boost the use of information technology in all affairs of the commission, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said. Expressing his satisfaction over ensuring accountability in PSC activities, including examination method and candidate selection process, Abdul Hamid also asked them to make the PSC as a 'centre of excellence'. The PSC delegation led by its Chairman Dr Mohammad Sadik handed over the report to the president.
