Three killed in road accidents in Chittagong

Three persons were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in port city on Saturday. Two youths, including a university student, were killed and two injured when a truck rammed a BRTC bus in Shah Amanat Bridge area of the city at around 8:30pm on Saturday. The victims were identified as Abu Hanif Riyad, 28, son of Rizu Ahmed, hailed from Banskhali upazila of Chittagong and a student of Southern University Bangladesh and Mohammad Elias, 25, son of Lula Mia of the same area. The identity of inured two could not be known.
Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge, Bakalia police station said “A speedy truck rammed a BRTC bus. The BRTC bus also hit a micro bus losing its control. Riyad died on the spot. The other three were sent to CMCH in a critical condition.” When contacted, Zahirul Islam, sub-inspector of CMCH police out post said yesterday that the condition of the injured two is still critical.”
