3 more held over gun attack on Ctg police

CHITTAGONG: Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested three more youths over a gun attack on an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) at a checkpoint in the city on Friday afternoon, reports BSS.

The arrestees are Khokan Chowdhury, 24, Ayman Jehad, 22, and Mahi, 18. Khokon and Ayman were arrested from Anwara upazila of the district while Mahi was arrested from Rahman Nagar under Panchliash Thana, said Mahiuddin Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Pachliash Thana.

The latest arrests made on Sunday takes the number of arrestees to six over the incident. Earlier, another three youths including two SSC examinees were held on Saturday last.
