AL leader, 14 others sued over UP chairman murder

Narail: A case has been filed against 15 people, including a local Awami League leader, in connection with the murder of UP chairman Latifur Rahman Polash, reports UNB.

The case was filed with Lohagora Police Station accusing Awami League joint secretary general of district unit Sharif Moniruzzaman and 14 others around 11:45 pm on Saturday.

Police arrested Moniruzzaman and his brother on the same night.

Earlier on February 15, Latifur Rahman Polash, chairman of Digholia union parishad and labor affairs secretary of Awami League Lohagora unit, was shot and hacked by some miscreants in Lohagra upazila.

Locals took him to Lohagora Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
