Interns ‘assault’ RU teacher at RMCH

RAJSHAHI: A group of interns allegedly assaulted a teacher of Rajshahi University (RU) at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Wednesday night, reports UNB.

The victim is Prof Enamul Zahir, a teacher of RU Law department.

Prof Enamul Zahir Zahir said he had an altercation with a female intern around 11pm over a collision between them when he went to visit a patient at the hospital.

At one stage, a group of interns took him to a room and assaulted him physically, he alleged.

Meanwhile, students of the RU Law department staged demonstrations on the campus on Thursday morning protesting the incident.
