2 killed in gas cylinder blast

COX’S BAZAR: Two people, including woman, were killed in a gas cylinder blast at Adinath Temple in Moheshkhali upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. The duo was selling gas balloons in front of the temple where a 7-day fair was being held on the occasion of Shiva Puja of the Hindu community, said Prodwip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Moheshkhali Police Station.

At one stage, the gas cylinder exploded with big bang at 11:15am, leaving the duo dead on the spot, the police official added.
