RU student alliance’s demonstration for 4-point demand

The left-leaning student alliance of Rajshahi University, Progressive Students' Alliance, demonstrated on the campus yesterday to press home their four-point demand. The demands included stopping all sorts of terrorist activities, ensuring healthy environment on the country. They also brought out a procession from Amtola around 12 noon yesterday and after parading the campus ended at the same point.

Presided over by Chhatra Moitree president Fidhel Monir, convener of Progressive Student Alliance and central president of Bangladesh Chhatra Federation Golam Mostafa, Chhatra Union central committee vice-president Onik Roy, Samajtantrik Chhatra Front central organising secretary  Rashaid Ahmed, Masud Rana and Chhatra Moitree central committee general secretary Dilip Roy, among others, addressed the programme.  

They alleged that university authorities are taking charge for RU Central Student Union fund with admission fee every year but did not arrange its polls yet. They demanded immediate election to the university's central students union to ensure the students’ rights.
