Barisal BNP programme foiled

Law enforcers foiled a BNP’s human chain programme on a road which was scheduled to be held in the city yesterday. OC investigation of Barisal Kotwali thana said BNP has no permission for holding this programme on a Police cordoned off the BNP office yesterday morning. city road.

However, District and City unit orgainsed the programme on the premises of Ashwini Kumar Town Hall. City and district unit BNP organised the programme protesting the conviction of the party chairperson Khaleda Zia and demanding her release.

Following the central programme district and city unit formed separate human chains yesterday at 10:30pm and 11pm in Sadar road area of the city.  When BNP leaders and workers tried to hold their programme  police also stopped them.  

Later, they held the event at Ashwini Kumar Town Hall. Huge police persons were deployed on BNP office premises.
