Two people were killed in road accidents in Kushtia and Mymensingh districts yesterday.
In Kushtia, a school student was killed as a trolley hit his motorbike at Nagarmohammadpur in Sadar upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ashif Hossain, 15, a student of class nine and son of Asadul Hossain, a resident of Jagonnathpur village of the upazila. Police said the accident occurred when the sand-laden trolley hit the bike from opposite direction in the area at about 8 am, leaving the bike rider Ashif dead on the spot.
In Mymensingh, a truck driver was killed and four others injured in a road accident in Chandipasha area on the Mymensingh-KIshoreganj road in Nandail upazila here early yesterday
The deceased was identified as Solaiman, 22, son of Faruq Mia of Kuliarchar in Kishoreganj district.Solaiman died on the spot and four others injured when his truck collided head on with another truck around 1am, said Md Yunus Ali, officer-in-charge of Nandail police station.
