Dhaka City Awami League is scheduled to bring out a mourning procession in the capital today in observance of the National Mourning Day commemorating the 39th anniversary of martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports UNB. As part of the 40-day programme of the ruling Awami League, its Dhaka City unit will organise the mourning procession to be brought out from the historic Suhrawardy Udyan at 4 pm.
Carrying black flags, hundreds of leaders and workers of Dhaka City Awami League in particular and people from all walks of life in general are expected to join the march that will end in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi
Road-32.
Earlier on Friday noon, Dhaka City Awami League held an extended meeting at its Bangabandhu Avenue office to make the programme a grand success.
