Tharmex Group GM dies in road crash

NARAYANGANJ: A head-on collision between a covered van and a private car yesterday killed the car passenger and seriously injured its driver in Purinda area under Araihazar police station, police and family sources said, reports BSS. Officer-in-Charge of Araihazar police station Alamgir Hossain said, "The mishap occurred as a covered van coming from the opposite direction collided with the Narsingdi-bound private car at about 9:30am killing the general manager (GM) of Tharmex Group Biswajit Ray, 50, on the spot and injuring the car driver seriously." He said police seized the covered van but its driver managed to escape the scene.
