Prisoner dies in Ctg

A prisoner died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) yesterday. He was identified as Nizam, 34, son of Zafor Alam of Konakhali area of Chakaria police station. He fell sick in the Chittagong Central Jail on February 8  morning, jail and hospital sources said. “He was admitted to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) ward number 24. He was suffering from various diseases including jaundice. He died on early Saturday," said Alauddin Talukder, ASI of CMCH police outpost. Nizam had been sentenced imprisonment in a check fraud case, jail authorities said.
