Free medical camp held at Nilphamary

A Free Medical Camp for the destitute and poor patients at Gourgram and Itakhola union under Nilphamary Sadar Upazila has been organized on February 1&2 by a team of child specialists coming from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahaeen Akhter, renowned paediatric neurologist and Professor of Paediatric Neurology dept. in BSMMU, a sum of 2000 child patients were given free treatment, prescription and medicine in the camp.

Among the specialist doctors, Dr. Bikush Chandra Paul, Dr. Mahajur Alam Sumon, Dr. Chowdhury Rehnuma Tabassum, and Dr. Dhiman Kumar Roy were present and attended the patients.

It is to be noted that Prof. Akhter, the wife of Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, honourable minister to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, has been organizing such camps frequently at Nilphamary area in her own initiative from the year 2000.
