Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday said pro-Awami League lawyers swept the recent election to Bangladesh Bar Council as they all worked together, reports UNB.
“Bar Council is the largest organisation for lawyers…
we couldn’t win the last two elections, but this time we have had a landslide victory as all pro-Awami League lawyers got united,” he said.

In the polls, held on last Wednesday, the pro-ruling party Sammilita Ainjibi Somonnoy Parishad got 10 seats out of 14.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze, Awami League Organising Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim
also spoke at the programme held with Mohila Sramik League president Rowshan Jahan in the chair.
