KUSHTIA: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in the district yesterday, reports BSS.
The deceased were identified as Tuhin Pramanik, 45, a motor cyclist and resident of Ranakhoria village in Mirpur upazila and Abdur Rahman, 30, a truck driver and inhabitant of Poshchim Shariatpur village in Potuakhali district.
Pramanik was killed as a truck hit his motorcycle at Mongol Bari on Kushtia-Iswardi Road at around 8 am, said Officer-in-Charge of Kushtia Model Police Station Mohammad Nasir Uddin.
He added truck driver Rahman was also killed in separate road accident as his truck collided head-on with another truck in Lakshmipur area on Kushtia-Jhenidah Road early yesterday.
The accidents left both of them dead on the spot. The bodies were sent to a hospital for autopsies.
