Iran an example of dev in Islamic world, say speakers

Speakers at a discussion on Friday labeled Iran as an example of development in the Islamic world, reports UNB.
The country has developed a lot in different sectors including economy, education, health, science and technology, atomic energy and nanotechnology despite many hurdles including sanctions form many countries, said Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, chairman of parliamentary standing committee on Finance Ministry. He was speaking as the chief guest at a meeting titled Independence, National Ability and Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the main auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum in Dhaka. The relationship between Iran and Bangladesh has a long history, he also said.
Iran Cultural Centre, Dhaka and Bangladesh National Museum jointly organised the discussion meeting and film show on the occasion of 39th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran (National Day).
With director general of the National Museum Faizul Latif Chowdhury in the chair, Professor Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan of Islamic History and Culture department at University of Dhaka presented the keynote paper at the discussion. Ambassador of Iran in Bangladesh Dr Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi, Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University Professor Dr Yusuf Mahbubul Islam and eminent actor and former professor of Chemistry department of BUET Dr Enamul Haque were special guests.
Cultural Counsellor of Iran Cultural Centre in Dhaka Seyed Mousa Hosseini delivered the welcome address.
