Teenager stabbed to death in Khulna

KHULNA: A teenager was stabbed to death and four others were injured at Ula village in Dumuria upazila of the district on Friday night, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Foysal Malik, 13, son of Abdur Rashid Malik, of the area. Police said there was a relationship between Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 25, son of Abdus Samad, of Gajendrapur village and Suma Akter, 23, daughter of Abdur Rashid of Ula village.
Mizan came to Suma's room at around 12.30 am Friday where she was sleeping with her younger brother Foysal.
Sensing the presence of Mizan, Foysal shouted seeming a bugler entered their room.
During scuffle with the duo, Mizan stabbed Foysal. On his (Foysal) hue and cry Abdur Rashid and neighbours Mofazzel Sarder, Mohsin Sarder and Imran Malik rushed to the spot and tried to catch Mizan, Khulna Police Super Habibur Rahman said.
They were also injured at that time. But finally, they caught Mizan and handed over him to police after a mass beating.
Foysal was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.
A case was filed with Dumuria Police Station in this connection.
