Two remanded for blogger Ananta murder

A Sylhet court here on Friday placed two suspected siblings Mannan Yahiya and Mohimin Noman on a seven-day remand in connection with the killing of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das. The judge of a Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order when Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police super Abdulla-Al-Baki produced them before the court and seeking a 15-day remand. Earlier on June 7 CID police remanded Idris Ali, a photojournalist of local Daily Sabuj Sylhet in this connection. Tipped off, a team of CID police arrested Mannan Yahiya and his brother Mohimin Noman, son of Hafij Moyin Uddin early Friday from their house at Paljupur village in Kanighat Upazila.
