REHAB awards 19 journos
Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) has honoured nineteen journalists from both electronic and print media with the Journalist of the Year Award-2014. Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu as the chief guest handed over the crests and the checks to the winners at the award giving ceremony, organised by REHAB, at CIRDAP auditorium in the capital.Nine journalists from print media and 10 from electronic media received the award. The first winner was given a cheque for Tk two lakh, the second winner Tk one lakh and the third winner Tk50,000. In the print media category, Toffazzel Hossain Rubel of the Bangla daily Kaler Kantha became the fist winner, Kawser Rahman of the daily Janakantha became the second winner and Ruhul Amin Rasel of Bangladesh Protidin became the third winner.
More winners in this category are Amitosh Pal (Samakal), Hamim-Ul Karim of
(Naya Diganta), Zahidul Islam (Alokito Bangladesh), Mohiuddin Niloy(Banik Barta), Dulal Hossain( Amader Somoy) and Mamun Abdulla (Jugantor).
In the electronic media category,
Hirjun Mira of Masranga Television won the first prize, Zahudul Islam Majumdar of
Ekattor TV and Ahad Hossain Tutul got the second and third prizes respectively. More winners in this category are Shusanta Sinha (Jamuna TV), Ziaul Haque Sabuj (Bangla Vision), Keramat Ullah Biplob (ATN Bangla), Farhad Hossain (Channel 9) and Golam Kadir Rabu (ATN News).
The Information Minister said, REHAB
has expanded their project beyond the
Dhaka city to other metropolitan cities. I
hope they will spread their housing projects to all districts.
