Manjurul Karim new envoy to Myanmar

The government has appointed Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury as the new ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, reports UNB.

Manjurul Karim, a career diplomat of 17th BCS (Foreign Affairs), joined the Foreign Service in February 1998.

Currently, he is serving as Director General of South East Asia Wing of the Foreign Ministry.

In his diplomatic career, Manjurul served in Bangladesh missions at Istanbul, London, Rome and Bandar Seri Begawan in different capacities.

He also represented Bangladesh in numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings, said the Foreign Ministry yesterday.
