NU honours admission merit list today

GAZIPUR: The authorities of National University (NU) will release the merit list for students eligible for admission in honours first year (pass and professional courses) for the academic session 2017-18 on Thursday.

The list can be known through SMS by typing nu<space>atdg<space>roll no and nu<space>athp<space>roll no respectively and sending message to 16222 after 4pm, said a news release on Tuesday night.

Besides, the list will be available on NU website www.admissions.nu.edu.bd and nu.edu.bd/admissions after 9pm.

Science fair held at Milestone College

The Milestone College Science Club (MCSC) organised a three-day science fair at central hall of the administrative building of the college from February 3 to 5 2018, says a press release.

Milestone College's Administrative principal Lt Colonel M Kamaluddin Bhuiyan (retd) inaugurated the fair on February 3. Students of class ten and eleven (Bangla and English version) participated in the fair and their own inventions 102 projects were displayed.

The closing and prize distribution ceremony was held on Monday. Vice president of  Bangladesh Astronomical Society FR Sarker was the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.

Founder and adviser of Milestone College Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd), Administrative principal of Milestone College  Lt Colonel M Kamaluddin Bhuiyan (retd), ADC of DMP’s uttara division Shahin Shah Mahmud, officer in-charge of DMP’s Uttara west police station Ali Hossain khan, Inspector (investigation) Muhammad Abdur Rajjak, The main coordinator of the MCSC Vice Principal Mizanur Rahman Khan and Administrative director of Milestone college  Md Masud Alam were present in the ceremony as  honourable guest.    A large number of students, heads of all faculties, teachers, college officials - employees were present in the ceremony.
