Four new generation Boeing aircraft 787-8 will be added to the fleet of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines in August and November this year and October and November 2019, reports BSS.
“An agreement was signed with Boeing Company for procuring 10 new generation aircraft. As per the deal, two new Boeing aircrafts 787-8 (Dream Liner) would be added to the Biman fleet by next August and November this year,” Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal said in the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday.
Replying to a written question from treasury bench member Mahmood Us Samad Chowdhury of Sylhet-3, he said more two same model new aircraft would be joined into the Biman fleet in October and November next year.
Meanwhile, under the agreement four 777-300 ER aircraft and two 737-
800 aircraft added to the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in 2011 and 2014, the minister informed the House.
