Customs officials arrested two employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines along with 40 gold bars, weighing about 4.640 kg, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital yesterday evening, reports UNB. The arrestees are Jafar Iqbal and Joydeb Das, cleaning workers of the national flag carrier. Based on a tip-off, customs officials searched the duo around 6:30 pm when they came out of a Qatar Airways flight after cleaning and seized 40 gold bars from their bodies, said Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Moinul Khan.
