Bay Multi-purpose Terminal to be built as fast track project

Steps will be taken to include the ‘Bay Multi-purpose Terminal Construction’ project of Chittagong port into the fast track projects, Shipping Minister M Shahjahan Khan said yesterday, reports BSS.

This was told by the minister at a meeting on implementation progress of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) under Shipping Ministry at its conference room with acting secretary of the ministry M Abdus Samad in the chair.

Shahjhan Khan asked the Chittagong Port Authority to take newer projects aimed at procuring necessary cranes and equipment for constructing jetty for lighter vessels.
